No, infact, she thanked me for my input. Even in an emotional poem, there is a need for correct punctuation. I did not mention content or message, just the fact that an elipsis and comma are different and she had them confused.

I doubt she knows about the Critique Disabled function-- don't you think that's implied?

I agree you can express an emotional state through art, but the moment you put it on display for the whole world, you place it under the light of criticism. If a person is so fragile that they can not handle a correction of punctuation, then they should not be placing their work under the scrutiny of others. As a fellow artist, you know that you should always strive to improve your work, when you stop doing that, you stop being a true artist.

I'm not asking you to apologize. But as a fellow artist, you can understand that sometimes the action to take during a period of grief is to express feelings in art and writing. I've done it before. Do you disagree?

If she does not want her work critiqued she should not have put her work on website devoted to improving artists, where it could be viewed by the public. She did not discourage or disable comments, so I will not apologize for, or rescind any statement.

Not to discourage or put you down, but the comment you left for ~Luthien167 wasn't the best thing to write to her. She's going through hard times right now; maybe you could've saved that correction for later?

Thanks for the comment on my poem. You sound like a pretty intelligent person.
I pretty much just write what comes to my head and don't really care what the reader thinks I guess, heh. I just write for myself. I know I have a weirdo style, but it fits me for who I am!
Most of the things I write I never edit and they are pretty much just random thoughts that go through my head!
